Heat Pump Servicing FAQs
Just like a boiler or a car, a heat pump needs regular care to keep performing at its best. Servicing helps maintain energy efficiency, avoids unexpected breakdowns, and protects your warranty. It’s also a good opportunity to make sure your system is set up correctly for your home’s heating needs.
We recommend servicing your heat pump once a year. It’s the best way to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently, and for many brands it’s also a requirement to keep the warranty valid. Regular servicing helps spot small issues before they turn into bigger problems, which can save you money in the long run.
Yes, servicing your heat pump helps to keep the system operating efficiently, especially through the colder months when it’s working hardest. Most manufacturers also require yearly maintenance to keep the warranty valid. A service will check key components, update settings, and make sure everything’s running as it should.
An air source heat pump service typically costs £330. That covers a full system check by one of our expert engineers, with a detailed report provided afterwards. We also offer service plans if you'd prefer to spread the cost over the year.
Most services take around 1 to 2 hours, depending on the system and how accessible it is. Our engineers aim to be thorough while keeping any disruption to a minimum.
