The Ecodan CAHV can operate singularly, or form part of a multiple unit system. The CAHV also comes pre-loaded with a wide range of controller features and mechanical configurations as standard. Each unit has a heating capacity of 43kW, and the advanced controls enable the heat pump to be cascaded up to 16 times, enabling a Mitsubishi Ecodan CAHV system to cover heat loads up to 688kW.

The intelligent controls provide the capability of cascading available units on and off to meet the heat load of the building at any given time. As an example of this modulation, a system made up of 16 Mitsubishi Ecodan CAHV units is capable of increments of 0.5kW in capacity, from 18kW all the way up to 688kW. This level of modulation is a unique and defining feature of the CAHV system. To compliment this modulation, the controls also rotate the units based on there accumulated run hours, to ensure that individual units do not carry a disproportionate amount of the heat load.

Requires Only Electric & Water Connections

As ever with heat pumps, one of the less-stated but extremely valuable benefits is that a building will only require two utility connections - water and electricity. There is no requirement for any fossil fuel connections or supplies, because by itself the heat pump is capable of producing water temperatures from 25C - 70C without booster heaters. Furthermore, Mitsubishi’s unique Zubadan technology enables the heat pump to maintain its 43kW output all the way down to -20C, meaning that even in the depths of winter, your Mitsubishi Ecodan CAHV system will keep the building warm.
